The deadline most people miss
You Have a Short Window to Protect Your License.
- 1A notice arrives
After a DUI arrest, Service Oklahoma sends a notice that your license will be revoked.
- 30Days to respond
You generally have 30 days from that notice to request the Impaired Driver Accountability Program (IDAP) or file an appeal.
- 3Or it starts on its own
If the window closes, the revocation usually takes effect automatically.
Who we defend
A Defense Built Around What You Stand to Lose
Your CDL is your income.
For a commercial driver, a DUI can threaten your license, your income, your job, and your family's financial stability. Even if the arrest happened in your personal vehicle, your commercial driving privileges may still be affected.

How we build your defense
What We Look at First
- The stop
Did the officer have legal grounds to pull you over, and what did they claim to observe?
After an arrest - Field sobriety tests
Were the tests properly explained and administered, on fair ground and in fair conditions?
Field sobriety tests - Breath or blood testing
Were testing procedures followed? Were there issues with timing, equipment, or procedure? Was there a refusal?
Chemical testing - Your license
Has the window to request IDAP or appeal been protected, so you can keep driving to work, school, and court?

Questions we hear first
DUI Questions, Answered
Every case is different. These answers are a starting point, not legal advice for your situation. More DUI questions
How long do I have to protect my license after a DUI arrest?
Oklahoma now gives you a short window that starts when Service Oklahoma sends a notice of revocation. You generally have 30 days from that notice to request the Impaired Driver Accountability Program (IDAP) or file an appeal. If the window closes, the revocation usually takes effect on its own, so call as soon as you can.
Will a DUI in my personal car affect my CDL?
It can. Under federal rules, a first DUI conviction disqualifies a commercial license for one year even when the arrest happened in a personal vehicle, and a second conviction can mean a lifetime disqualification. That is why a CDL case needs a different strategy from the start.
I am under 21. Is the limit still 0.08?
No. In Oklahoma, a driver under 21 can be charged with DUI for any measurable amount of alcohol. The case can also raise questions about school, scholarships, and future careers, which we help students and their families think through.
What if I refused the breath or blood test?
A refusal brings its own license consequences, separate from the criminal case. It does not decide the outcome on its own, and the stop, the officer's observations, and the procedure that was followed still matter. The same short window to act generally applies.
Is the first consultation free?
Yes. Criminal defense matters, including DUI, begin with a free, confidential consultation by phone or in person.
