Andrea Worden was the kind of person who made people feel seen. She built her life and her work around the belief that people deserve compassion, dignity, and someone willing to stand beside them when life feels most uncertain.
She realized early on that law school was not just an option for her, but something she felt deeply called to pursue. That sense of purpose shaped everything that followed.
In 2006, Andrea created Worden & Carbitcher with the intention of serving clients the way she herself would want to be served: with honesty, responsiveness, compassion, and unwavering dedication. She was drawn to people in difficult seasons of life and wanted her work to ease their burdens, restore clarity, and help them feel less alone.
For Andrea, the law was never simply a career. It was a calling.
Andrea was a powerful advocate for people who are too often overlooked, especially women facing hardship, uncertainty, or impossible choices. She understood that behind every case was a person trying to protect something precious: a child, a future, a sense of safety, a chance to begin again.
That spirit became part of the foundation of this firm and remains part of its legacy today.

The Andrea Worden Scholarship for Tenacity and Timeless Grace
Funded by Worden & Carbitcher, the scholarship supports non-traditional students who have overcome adversity. It reflects the qualities she valued most:
- Kindness
- Perseverance
- Compassion
- Belief in the potential of others
She is remembered not only for what she built, but for how she made people feel: supported, encouraged, and worth fighting for. Her legacy lives on in the firm she founded, in the people she helped, and in the enduring example of a life marked by purpose, courage, and grace.
